Alice Cooper comic book series coming this fall
A new Alice Cooper comic book series will be launched this fall.
The Hollywood Reporter reveals the series will be issued by comic book and graphic novel publisher Dynamite starting in September.
The series, which his being written by "X-Files" writer Joe Harris with art by Eman Casallos, recasts the musician as the guardian of humanity's dreams.
"We're doing many cool things with Dynamite, beginning with a new comics series which I am very excited about," said Cooper. "I always say that the best thing about being in a comic book is that they draw you with great abs!”
"Artistically, for me there is hardly a better medium,” he added. “There is so much you can do in the form of a comic that we'd never been able to do on stage. It's just a different way of storytelling, and it really has almost limitless possibilities. We're looking forward to stretching the existing boundaries of the comic medium again.
"We have new stories to tell, but we'll do it with the same theatrical, sinister sensibility that comes with the name 'Alice Cooper.' This is just the beginning! Welcome to my NEW Nightmares!"
A new documentary film, “Super Duper Alice Cooper”, about the legendary shock rocker, has just been released.
Recently screened in theaters, the project is the story of preacher’s son Vincent Furnier, who struck fear into the hearts of parents as Alice Cooper.
This summer, Cooper will join Motley Crue for their farewell tour.
Billed as “The Final Tour”, dates will kick off in North America on July 2 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and reach 72 cities before hitting international territories in 2015.
