KISS performed with American Idol winner Caleb Johnson on the Season 13 finale of the reality series Wednesday night.
Johnson joined the band for a medley of “Love Gun” and “Shout It Out Loud.”
The rocker went on to beat fellow finalist Jena Irene for the Idol title.
Johnson has been cranking out rock covers all season long, including tracks by Whitesnake, Rush and Led Zeppelin.
KISS previously appeared on the reality singing competition during the 2009 season finale, where they were joined by Adam Lambert for a medley of “Detroit Rock City” and “Rock And Roll All Night.”
On May 27, KISS will release a new compilation, “KISS 40”, in honor of the band’s 40-year career.
The 2-CD package features one track from every major album release, live selections and “Reputation”, an unreleased demo from 1977.
