The Cult performed on Friday during the opening weekend of the 2014 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California, and video of the band’s full set is available.
The Cult’s 11-song, 50-minute show opened with a pair of vintage tracks, including “Rain” from 1985’s “Love” album and “Spiritwalker” from 1984’s “Dreamtime” release.
The show was heavy on singles by the group, as familiarity often plays well to festival crowds.
A three-song rally of heavy tunes completed the performance: “Wild Flower”, “She Sells Sanctuary” and “Love Removal Machine.”
The Cult will return to play Coachella again on April 18, the opening night of the event’s second weekend.
