Slash is sharing more footage of the recording sessions for his third solo album, in part 7 of the “Real To Reel” web series.
The latest webisode features the guitarist, and vocalist Myles Kennedy, talking about the project.
“When I listen to a piece of music,” says Kennedy, “it’s kind of a soundtrack to a script that I’m going to write, and tell a story.”
“Obviously, Myles is a very capable lyricist,” adds Slash, “so when he comes up with ideas for a song, I might read them and see what it is, but I really trust his lyric writing ability.”
Slash will join Aerosmith for a summer tour of North America.
The pair will team up for the Let Rock Rule trek for 21 shows starting July 10 in Wantagh, New York, with dates running to September 12 in Sydney, Nova Scotia.
Tickets will go on sale this weekend at Live Nation.
