Guns N’ Roses frontman Axl Rose was honored with the Ronnie James Dio Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2014 Revolver Golden Gods Awards in Los Angles last Wednesday, and video of the presentation by actor Nicolas Cage is available.
GNR headlined the event at Club Nokia, where they were joined by founding bassist Duff McKagan for their set. The performance marked the first time Duff had shared the stage with the group in the US after joining them for several South American dates earlier this month; those shows were McKagan’s first full concerts with the group in 17 years.
The band ripped through an 11-song set full of classic tracks and a pair of tunes from 2008’s “Chinese Democracy” – watch the performance here.
The 2014 Revolver Golden Gods Awards Show will air on VH1 Classic on Saturday, May 24th.
Next month, Guns N’ Roses will return to Las Vegas for their second residency, "No Trickery! An Evening Of Destruction", at The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.
The band will play a total of nine shows between May 21 and June 7.
