PHOTO: Van Halens attend Black Sabbath show in Los Angeles
Black Sabbath wrapped up their North American spring tour dates in support of “13” at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles on Saturday, and the band were visited by Eddie, Alex and Wolfgang Van Halen at the show.
“Had an amazing time last night at the Sabbath show”, Wolfgang posted on instagram, along with a photo of the three Van Halens hanging with Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi backstage.
The bassist also posted an instagram photo from the concert, writing, “Wow. #Sabbath was mind-blowing tonight.”
Long before Wolfgang was born (in 1991), Van Halen opened for Black Sabbath on their 1978 tour; VH were on the road in support of their groundbreaking self-titled debut and Sabbath were supporting their “Never Say Die!” release and 10th anniversary.
Eddie and Iommi have maintained a friendship ever since.
