Motley Crue confirm title of farewell song

Last week, producer James Michael revealed that Motley Crue are in the middle of recording the final song of their career, and now the band have confirmed the title of the track is “All Bad Things Must Come To An End.”

"It's probably about half finished,” guitarist Mick Mars tells Guitar World in a new June 2014 cover story. “We have to wait for Vince [Neil] to sing it, and then I'll do my soloing and ear candy all over it and stuff like that."

The new song’s title was featured on the poster for the band’s farewell tour, issued alongside a press conference in January announcing the trek.

"As we know, the Crue is getting ready to hang it up. And we discussed for a while doing a final song," Michael revealed at the Revolver Golden Gods Awards in Los Angles on April 23. "And that's a tall order. There
was a lot of pressure on us to make sure that we did it right and that we celebrated everything that they were known for. So I think we've done it. I'm actually tracking drums with Tommy [Lee] tomorrow. And it's an outstanding song. I think it's gonna be an absolutely amazing way to go out swinging."

Last month, Mars confirmed the group will release the new single to support the launch of the farewell tour.

Motley Crue last released new music in 2012, when they issued the single “Sex” to promote the band’s summer tour with KISS. The group’s last full album was 2008’s “Saints Of Los Angeles.”

After more than three decades together, Motley Crue’s “The Final Tour” will kick off July 2 in Grand Rapids, Michigan with guest Alice Cooper.
