The Revolver Golden Gods Awards Show has announced Guns N’ Roses founding bassist Duff McKagan will join the band for their headlining performance at this year’s event, which takes place at Club Nokia in Los Angeles on Wednesday, April 23.
The performance will be McKagan’s first time sharing the stage with Guns N’ Roses in the US after joining the band for several South American dates throughout April; the shows marked Duff’s first full concerts with the group in 17 years.
Gun N’ Roses frontman Axl Rose will be honored with this year’s Ronnie James Dio Lifetime Achievement Award at the event.
Legendary rocker Joan Jett will take her place in Revolver Golden Gods history as the first female recipient of the Golden God Award.
The 2014 Revolver Golden Gods Awards Show and Black Carpet pre-show will stream live on Amazon, VH1.com, VH1Classic.com and the VH1 App on April 23rd, and VH1 Classic will air the show on Saturday, May 24th.
