Soundgarden performed their 1994 breakthrough album, “Superunknown”, in its entirety for the first time ever, at the iTunes Festival in Austin, Texas on Thursday during South By Southwest and video of the complete set is available.
The concert news comes on the heels of the band’s announcement that they will be releasing a 20th anniversary reissue of “Superunknown” on June 3rd.
Propelled by the singles “Spoonman”, “Black Hole Sun”, “Fell On Black Days”, “My Wave” and “The Day I Tried To Live”, “Superunknown” debuted at No. 1 in the US and went on to sell more than 9 million copies worldwide, including 5 million in the States alone.
The “Superunknown” reissue will be released in two versions, a 2-CD Deluxe Edition and a 5-CD Super Deluxe Edition – both can be pre-ordered via the Amazon links below.

Soundgarden kick off their 2014 live schedule in Lima, Peru on March 27; they’ll follow that up with dates at Lollapalooza in Chile, Argentina and Brazil.
