Slash has posted the third episode of “Real To Reel”, a new web series documenting the recording of his third solo album.
The series gives fans a behind-the-scenes sneak peek inside the recording sessions.
This time out, “Real To Reel” features the band members talking about the atmosphere in the studio and the pressure to nail a song when tape is rolling.
“The studio itself has always been sort of intimidating,” says Slash. “There’s a certain sense of abandon that I have when I’m playing live, and you want to sort of create as much of that in the studio as possible. As soon as the red light goes on, you are aware that you’re being scrutinized at that moment to do a performance; it becomes a much more intimidating state of affairs.”
Slash’s third solo album will be the follow-up to 2012’s “Apocalyptic Love.”
