Judas Priest recently hosted the first all-metal edition of Rock 'N' Roll Fantasy Camp at the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, and video from the event has surfaced.
"Hell Bent For Vegas" featured four of the five members of Judas Priest (guitarist Glenn Tipton was unavailable) jamming with camp attendees, along with special guests Zakk Wylde (Black Label Society, ex-Ozzy Osbourne), Queensryche singer Geoff Tate, Lita Ford, Rudy Sarzo (Quiet Riot, Ozzy Osbourne, Dio), Vinny Appice (Dio, Black Sabbath, Heavan & Hell) and Phil Soussan (Ozzy Osbourne).
"We had a great time at the Rock 'N' Roll Fantasy Camp in Las Vegas,” posted Judas Priest. “[We] met some great fans and had a really good time performing with all the campers bands and seeing some old friends!"
The Rock N’ Roll Fantasy Camp is the world’s only place where real people get the life-changing experience of meeting, writing songs, recording and performing with their musical heroes. Created by veteran music producer David Fishof to be the ultimate music-making experience, these camps provide once-in-a-lifetime opportunities for musicians of all skill levels.
As part of their recent seasonal holiday message, Judas Priest confirmed that they will release a new album this year.
Singer Rob Halford describes the follow-up to 2008's "Nostradamus" as "hard. It's heavy. It's something we think our Priest fans will be thrilled with. We know we have a reputation to maintain, and we know we have to deliver something really strong and solid. The album is going to be full of all the great things you love about Judas Priest."
