Iron Maiden singer Bruce Dickinson will fly the head of the Sainsbury's supermarket chain to six U.K. stores on Thursday, March 20 to raise funds for Sport Relief, a charity event associated with BBC Sport.
Corporate Jet Investor reports Dickinson will fly Sainsbury’s CEO Justin King for the six-leg flight, which spans England, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
Dickinson will fly King on an Eclipse private jet, which is exclusively distributed and marketed in Europe by Aeris Aviation, where Dickinson also presides as non-executive chairman.
At each stop of the private jet tour, King will run from the airport to the chosen supermarket, with Dickinson joining him on some of the legs.
Sainsbury’s is the second largest chain of supermarkets in the United Kingdom.
Dickinson and Iron Maiden will kick off their 2014 live dates May 27 in Barcelona, Spain.
The summer tour will round off the band’s Maiden England World Tour, which will end with a headline performance at the UK Sonisphere Festival in July as part of the 40th Anniversary celebrations at Knebworth Park.
By the end of the tour the band will have played 102 shows in 32 countries to well over two million fans since starting in the USA in June 2012.
