Van Halen frontman David Lee Roth has released a new promo for season 2 of his online series The Roth Show.
It’s the third video tease for the new season, following two earlier posts last September.
Roth has been keeping a low profile since Van Halen wrapped up their “A Different Kind Of Truth” tour in July.
The band’s latest album debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 with opening week sales of 187,000. “A Different Kind Of Truth” was denied a No. 1 entry when Adele’s smash “21” record enjoyed a massive sales bump due to the 2012 Grammy Awards, where she swept her 6 categories and doubled her sales from a week earlier to retain top spot.
A few months ago, Roth revealed that Van Halen are in the early stages of working on a new album.
"I was up at Edward (Van Halen)'s house, maybe three days ago - just before I came here to the city - and we're starting to put music together,” Roth told Ozzy’s Boneyard host Jim Florentine on SiriusXM. “Not to give away exactly what the package will be, it's gonna be about 18 months, I think.”
Last month, Roth and Van Halen picked up their third straight Rock News Artist Of The Year honor as part of the 2013 hennemusic Rock News Awards – read more here.
