A snippet of Black Sabbath’s 1970 classic, “Paranoid”, was featured in a Super Bowl commercial for online streaming service Beats Music.
Entitled “The Right Music”, the ad – which stars Ellen DeGeneres – sees the daytime talk show host sampling the music of three bears who live in a building called “The Woods.”
The title track to their second album, “Paranoid” was issued as the project’s lead single; it went on to reach the top 5 on several European charts and No. 61 on the US Billboard Hot 100.
Currently on a break from their “13” world tour, Black Sabbath will return to live action with a series of North American shows starting March 31 in New York.
The trek includes a 3-week Canadian tour that begins April 3 in Halifax, Nova Scotia and wraps April 22 in Edmonton, Alberta; it is followed by a Los Angeles stop at the Hollywood Bowl on April 26.
