Soundgarden to perform Superunknown album at iTunes Festival

Soundgarden will perform their 1994 breakthrough album, “Superunknown”, in its entirety for the first time ever, at the iTunes Festival in Austin, Texas on March 13 during South By Southwest.

The show, which will take place at ACL Live at the Moody Theater in Austin, will be streamed live via the via iTunes store, and available on all personal computers and mobile devices. Those with iOS devices or Apple TV can use the iTunes Festival app to stream the performance in HD.

The concert news comes on the heels of the band’s announcement this week that they will be releasing a 20th anniversary reissue of “Superunknown” on June 3rd.

Propelled by the singles “Spoonman”, “Black Hole Sun”, “Fell On Black Days”, “My Wave” and “The Day I Tried To Live”, “Superunknown” debuted at No. 1 in the US and went on to sell more than 9 million copies worldwide, including 5 million in the States alone.

The “Superunknown” reissue will be released in two versions: a 2-CD Deluxe Edition and a 5-CD Super Deluxe Edition.
