Megadeth bassist David Ellefson has released the audio version of his 1997 book, “Making Music Your Business….A Guide For Young Musicians."
The project sees Ellefson draw on years of recording and touring experience to share his knowledge of how the music industry works - from the musician's perspective. The bassist explores the key areas of management, recording, promotion, touring, and career image.
“Making Music Your Business….A Guide For Young Musicians" is now available via Audible (here), and will be issued soon on iTunes and Amazon.
Megadeth made headlines this past week when the band pulled out of Australia’s Soundwave festival and cancelled their dates in the country in support of their latest album, “Super Collider”, following a dispute with the festival promoter.
Things began to unravel recently when Soundwave promoter AJ Maddah announced that former Metallica bassist Jason Newsted’s new band, Newsted, were being kicked off the bill for Megadeth’s headlining shows outside of the festival at the request of the band.
Dave Mustaine denied Maddah’s claims and pulled Megadeth out of all Australian shows, including Soundwave’s 5-city event, which starts February 22 in Brisbane.
