Original KISS drummer Peter Criss has issued a statement following news that Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley will not reunite with him and guitarist Ace Frehley at the band’s induction into the 2014 Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame.
"To KISS fans,” writes Criss. “It's disappointing to have to say to you, the fans, that as of today, Ace and I have been denied a performance with Gene and Paul for our Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame induction. Tickets go on sale on Monday, February 24, and I wanted to make sure that fans understood that no original performance, in or out of makeup, has been offered to us before they purchased their tickets. This is disgraceful, and I feel bad for the fans who were looking forward to the four of us being inducted together. God bless, Peter Criss – The Catman"
Frehley broke the news to Q104.3 New York DJ Eddie Trunk during a call in to his show on Friday.
"I don't think KISS fans are gonna be too excited and happy about the news, 'cause at this juncture, Paul and Gene have decided to perform with [current KISS members] Tommy [Thayer, guitar] and Eric [Singer, drums], and it looks like the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame is going along with it," said Frehley.

On April 10, KISS will be inducted into the Rock Hall along with Nirvana, Peter Gabriel, Hall and Oates, Cat Stevens and Linda Ronstadt; the ceremony will be held at New York’s Barclays Center and HBO will record the event for broadcast in May.
2014 Rock & Roll Hall OF Fame induction ceremony tickets go on sale to American Express card members on Monday, February 24 at 9 a.m. EST through Friday, February 28 at 10 p.m. EST.
General public tickets go on sale Saturday, March 1 at 10:00 a.m. EST.
