Jimi Hendrix will reissue his legendary 1967 single, “Purple Haze”, on February 18 as the third installment in the Experience Hendrix / Sundazed Records Jimi Hendrix singles series.
The second single by the Jimi Hendrix Experience, “Purple Haze” coupled with “51st Anniversary” is being re-released as it was originally issued in the UK and Europe.
Available for the first time in the US, the reissue features the original monaural mixes and a color picture sleeve.
“Purple Haze” peaked at number 65 on the US Billboard Hot 100, and spent only eight weeks on the chart.
