Def Leppard singer Joe Elliott will appear in the upcoming feature film "The Bridge."
Directed by Marshall Lewy, "The Bridge" is a coming-of-age, rock and roll drama that chronicles the unlikely rise of small-town music prodigy Luke Weaver, played by writer/director Bobby Field.
Ten years out of Twin Falls High and going nowhere fast, Luke watches his hometown band — and life as he knows it — crumble in front of him as his longtime best friend Scotty decides to move on, and move out. Luke goes on to face his crippling fears as he embarks on a quest that will change his life forever.
Elliott will play the character “Ziggy” and will act alongside musicians from other bands like Ricky Warwick from Black Star Riders/Thin Lizzy, Eddie Ojeda from Twisted Sister and Sin Quirin from Ministry.
A theatrical release date for “The Bridge” is to be announced.
On February 10 (Feb 11 in North America), Elliott and Def Leppard will release a Deluxe Edition of their 1996 album, “Slang.”
The reissue will be available in 3 formats: a CD Deluxe Edition and Digital Edition containing the original 11 album tracks re-mastered and original rare bonus tracks made up of demos, alternate versions and mixes with a series of new songs recorded during the time the band was creating Slang. Most of these additional bonus tracks have never been released.
