Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi has put his 6-bedroom Warwickshire, UK mansion on the market.
The Birmingham Post reports the 8,000 sq ft Edwardian residence, built in 1905, is being offered at £2.6 million (approximately US $4.33 million).
Iommi is reportedly selling because he wants to down-size following his recent battle with cancer. The guitarist revealed down-sizing was a possibility when he spoke to the Birmingham Mail in November 2012 about his illness.
Iommi spoke of always having “fought through adversity” in his life and said “maybe we should get a smaller house”, adding, “Maybe it’s time to scale down anyway and try to live more of a peaceful life.”
Black Sabbath return to live action with a series of North American shows on their “13” world tour, starting March 31 in New York.
The trek includes a 3-week Canadian tour that begins April 3 in Halifax, Nova Scotia and wraps April 22 in Edmonton, Alberta; it is followed by a Los Angeles stop at the Hollywood Bowl on April 26.
