U2 performed their first show in three years Saturday night, surprising guests at Sean Penn's third annual Help Haiti benefit in Beverly Hills' Montage Hotel.
Billboard reports U2's brief full-band set in the hotel ballroom featured "I Will Follow," "Desire", and "Vertigo."
Earlier in the evening, Bono performed alongside the Edge on guitar with Haitian singer Anaelle Jean-Pierre.
The benefit raised nearly $6 million for the J/P Haitian Relief Organization and was attended by the likes of Bette Midler, Michael Douglas, Gwyneth Paltrow, Charlize Theron, Piers Morgan, Chelsea Handler, Sarah Silverman, Idris Elba, and Kathryn Bigelow.
U2 have been working on a new album; the follow-up to 2009’s “No Line On The Horizon” is expected to be released in April.
