Bruce Springsteen’s new album, “High Hopes”, has debuted at No. 1 on the UK charts.
The Official Charts Company reports Springsteen’s 10th UK chart-topper moves the singer ahead of ABBA, Queen, Michael Jackson and David Bowie (who all have 9) in the all-time list of acts with the most No. 1 albums in the country.
Springsteen is now tied for 4th with U2 and the Rolling Stones on the list; Elvis Presley and Robbie Williams each have 11 for 3rd spot; Madonna is in second place with 12 while The Beatles remain on top with 15 career UK chart toppers.
US music industry sources expect “High Hopes” to debut at No. 1 in the States when the Billboard 200 album charts are revealed later this week.
