Journey singer and Manila native Arnel Pineda spoke with CNN’s Anderson Cooper about aid for his Philippines homeland in the aftermath of Super Typhoon Haiyan, and video of their discussion is available.
Journey have donated $350,000 to the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) to aid the Philippines in its time of need.
These initial funds will help the WFP provide Filipinos in urgent need of food assistance with more than 1.4 million meals.
The largest storm to ever make landfall, Super Typhoon Haiyan caused catastrophic damage, with more than 615,000 people displaced. When disaster strikes and hours can mean the difference between life and death, the UN World Food Programme is among the first on the ground to provide life-saving assistance.
Journey is calling on fans to join them and make urgent donations to support life-saving food relief for millions of Filipinos.
