Aerosmith guitarist Brad Whitford sat in with The Roots on Tuesday as part of a visit to Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.
Brad and the house band played a few Aerosmith classics during the show as it came and went from commercial breaks.
Whitford also plugged Guitar Aficionado’s new book, “Guitar Aficionado — The Collections: The Most Famous, Rare, and Valuable Guitars in the World.”
Several of Whitford’s guitars appear in the hardcover book, which was compiled by former GA editor-in-chief Tom Beaujour along with Christopher Scapelliti.
Metallica’s James Hetfield, Lindsey Buckingham of Fleetwood Mac, Jimmie Vaughan, Cheap Trick’s Rick Nielsen, Mick Mars of Motley Crue and Randy Bachman are just a few of the artists who share the history of their instruments.
Whitford and Aerosmith recently completed a month-long tour of South America in support of their latest album, “Music From Another Dimension.”
