Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band will perform in South Africa in 2014 for the very first time.
Springsteen will play three shows – two in Cape Town and one in Johannesburg – in late January/early February.
The concert dates are as follows:
Jan 28 – Cape Town – Bellville Velodrome
Jan 29 – Cape Town – Bellville Velodrome
Feb 01 – Johannesburg – FNB Stadium
Tickets go on sale for Johannesburg on Wednesday, October 30 at 9 AM SAST, and Cape Town on Friday, November 1 at 9 AM SAST, at bigconcerts.co.za and Computicket.
On November 6, Bruce Springsteen will join Roger Waters and other performers for the 7th annual Stand Up For Heroes benefit as part of The New York Comedy Festival.
Organized by the Bob Woodruff Foundation, the event at the Theater at Madison Square Garden raises funds for injured service members, veterans and their families. In its first six years, the event has raised more than $16 million to support wounded warriors and their families.
In addition to Springsteen and Waters, Stand Up For Heroes will feature performances by Jerry Seinfeld, Jon Stewart, and other surprise guests.
