Super Bowl flashback: Bruce Springsteen (2009)



It’s been three years since rock was part of the Super Bowl halftime show.

The Who played the 2010 event, marking the third year in a row that rock was center stage at the event.

In 2009, Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band performed at Super Bowl 43 in Tampa, Florida.

The game featured the Pittsburgh Steelers versus the Arizona Cardinals; the Steelers won 27-23.

The broadcast average a U.S. audience of 98.7 million viewers, making it the most watched Super Bowl in history to that point. The national anthem was sung by Jennifer Hudson.
