Sammy Hagar has posted his annual holiday message to fans.
The Red Rocker updates fans on several things, including his thoughts on 2012, some upcoming live events, his possible plans for 2013 and a status check on Chickenfoot.
"Joe's [Satriani] doing his thing and Chad's [Smith] just coming off a [Red Hot] Chili Peppers tour and he's not gonna wanna go into the studio,” says Hagar. “So I think Mikey [Michael Anthony] and I and the Wabos, we'll just go out and do some stuff."
Chickenfoot will release a new box set, "I+III+LV", on January 25.
The package will include the band’s debut album "Chickenfoot", the follow-up, "III", and the limited live release "LV", released in December and limited to 10,000 numbered copies in Europe.
"LV" features over an hour of live music made of four unreleased live songs recorded during the "III" world tour and a series of very rare digital bonus tracks and B-sides live.
For all the most dedicated fans who have already bought "Chickenfoot" and "III", Chickenfoot will make the extra disc, "LV", available for a limited period as a stand-alone CD, released all over Europe on December 7, 2012 (strictly limited to 10,000 numbered copies).
