Black Sabbath continue working on a new album with producer Rick Rubin.
The group updated fans on the project on Thursday, posting news that Geezer Butler "is all set to record some more bass tracks on the new album today." The update included a black and white photo of Geezer’s basses in the studio.
Three original Sabbath members - Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi and Butler - press on while drummer Bill Ward sits out the planned reunion over a contract dispute.
The band’s first studio effort since 1978’s “Never Say Die” is being recorded at Shangri La Studios in Malibu.
Last month, Metal Injection reported that 15 songs that have been written, and according to Butler, 12 of them will make the record, most likely with the additional three serving as bonus tracks for different special editions.
Iommi completed all 15 guitar tracks during the band's sessions in England earlier this year. Ozzy is tracking vocals, with bassist Geezer writing all the lyrics. One song title has been confirmed: "God Is Dead."
The new Sabbath album is due in April.
