The first video footage from Led Zeppelin’s New York press conference for their forthcoming concert film, “Celebration Day,” has surfaced.
Band members John Paul Jones, Robert Plant, Jimmy Page and Jason Bonham were on hand Tuesday afternoon at the Museum Of Modern Art to field questions from the media prior to the premiere screening at the historic Ziegfeld Theater in New York’s theater district.
The footage shows Zeppelin answering a question about creating the setlist for the December 2007 show at London’s 02 Arena.
“In the past in the 70s when we were touring, the sets would sort of be a reflection of what we had done in the past and what was there on that latest album,” said Page. “On this, we had a chance to have a real retrospective of the career, so that’s why we arrived at the first number being ‘Good Times, Bad Times,’ which is the first track of the first album…and then let’s see what goes on from there.”
Following a week of premiere events, “Celebration Day” will see a worldwide theatrical release on 1,500 screens in over 40 territories on October 17 before it goes on sale November 19.
