Soundgarden have released “Non-State Actor,” a track from the band’s forthcoming new album, “King Animal.”
The project is the reunited band’s first studio album in 16 years.
“’Non-State Actor’ is a song that [bassist] Ben [Shepherd] brought in and I wrote lyrics for,” explains guitarist Kim Thayil. “We haven’t done that songwriting combination before.”
The group recently released “Been Away Too Long,” the first single from the project; earlier this year, Soundgarden issued another tune, “Live To Rise,” as part of the soundtrack for the film, "Marvel's The Avengers."
“King Animal” will be available November 13.
