The countdown to the official announcement by Led Zeppelin revealing plans for the release of the band’s 2007 reunion concert continues.
Zeppelin posted a graphic of the number two on their Facebook page Tuesday, following the daily clock update that began with Saturday’s posting of the number five in the band’s traditional font.
The group also offered up a new video preview of the project, teasing the introduction of “Good Times, Bad Times,” the first song in the band’s set at London’s 02 Arena in December of 2007.A leak last week cited Warner Music sources as saying a double DVD set of the show, accompanied by two CDs, will be made available.
A report by the UK tabloid The Sun suggests the package will go on sale worldwide Thursday, November 22, which coincides with the U.S. Thanksgiving Day holiday.
According to Guinness World Records 2009, the concert holds the world record for the "Highest Demand for Tickets for One Music Concert" as 20 million requests for the 18,000 available seats were made online. Tickets were available via an online lottery system with all proceeds going to Atlantic Records founder Ahmet Ertegun’s charity, the man for whom the tribute event was created.
