A rock and roll auction in Los Angeles next month is making headlines.
On Wednesday, Juliens Auctions announced an October 27 event featuring “Property From The Collection Of Ronnie and Jo Wood.”
Included is an array of fine and decorative art, antiques, music memorabilia, and personal property. This impressive collection of property from the Rolling Stones guitarist and two-time Rock and Roll Hall of Famer is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for fans, investors, museums and collectors alike to join in the celebration of the career of one of the greatest rock stars of all time.
The Wood collection features an assortment of memorabilia from the Rolling Stones, Faces, and Ronnie Wood’s solo career both as a musician and an artist, spanning over four decades.
Some of the key music-related highlights of the Wood Collection are stage worn leather jackets and clothing. Also offered are two Ronnie Wood custom painted Fender Stratocasters, one with the body depicting a Rolling Stones recording session ($4,000-$8,000). For the Rolling Stones collectors there is tour clothing, backstage passes and tour ephemera from various Rolling Stones tours of the 1990’s and 2000’s, collectible Rolling Stones books, guitar picks, vinyl record albums, and other Rolling Stones memorabilia which Jo collected over the years.

The BBC reports Darren Julien of Julien's Auctions announced the sale, saying: "They are still very good friends and they just decided it was time to simplify and sell some of their property."
But Ronnie Wood later released a statement through his publicist, saying he had declined the offer to participate.
Wood said some of the items were "clearly his personal belongings" and that he had no involvement in the sale.
"He is therefore shocked and disappointed that this auction is being misrepresented as a joint sale. This is not the case." The statement continued: "Ronnie feels saddened that Jo has taken this course of action and wants the public to know he has not teamed up with Jo on this outrageous sale."
Ronnie and The Stones are gearing up for the band’s 50th Anniversary, which includes live shows and multiple new releases.
