VIDEO: Deep Purple members jam at Nashville benefit

Deep Purple are in Nashville working on a new album.

While in town, The Highway Star reports band members Roger Glover, Ian Paice and Don Airey took part in a July 15th benefit show for Jamie Simmons, a local bass player who was severely injured in a motorcycle accident earlier this year.

The Purple members teamed up with Mike Simmons (guitar) and vocalist Greg Mangus at the Mercury Lounge to jam out a couple of classics, including “Space Truckin’” and “Woman From Tokyo.”
