Aerosmith were joined by RUN-D.M.C.'s Darryl "D.M.C." McDaniels Tuesday night at the Izod Center in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
McDaniels was on hand to join the Boston rockers for a reprise of their 1986 hit, “Walk This Way.”
Aerosmith originally released “Walk This Way” as the second single from “Toys In The Attic.” It peaked at number 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 in early 1977, part of a string of successful hit singles for the band in the 1970s.
The 1986 version of the song – featuring guest appearances by Steven Tyler and Joe Perry – is often credited as helping break rap into mainstream pop music as it was the first rap song to hit the Top 5 on the Billboard Hot 100; the hit also helped revitalize Aerosmith’s career.
