Queensryche members Michael Wilton, Eddie Jackson, Scott Rockenfield and Parker Lundgren debuted a new band Friday night in Seattle with vocalist Todd La Torre of Crimson Glory.
Rising West played their first show at the Hard Rock Café, where they performed rare and classic hits from the first five Queensryche albums; the set also included a cover of Iron Maiden’s “Wrathchild.”
Earlier this week, the Rising West crew were denied access to Queensryche’s social media platforms to promote their new project.
"We are being denied access to our own Facebook page and website (meaning Queensryche) so please spread the word for about Rising West. . . Thank you for your support and we hope to see you at our shows!" the band posted Tuesday on their own official Facebook page here.
The same day the Rising West team alerted fans to the situation, the Queensryche Facebook page was actively promoting a solo date by singer Geoff Tate, who is currently performing live shows while working on a solo album.
