The new Tom Cruise film, Rock Of Ages, hits theaters today.
The Broadway play-turned-movie is billed as a love story told through the music of Bon Jovi, Journey, Poison, Twisted Sister and other artists from the 1980s.
Cruise plays Stacee Jaxx, the biggest rock star in the world; in the film, he sings renditions of Def Leppard’s "Pour Some Sugar On Me" and Guns N’ Roses’ "Paradise City."
Def Leppard have jumped on board the Rock Of Ages theme, re-recording their 1983 track for release and using it to name their summer tour with Poison and Lita Ford – that trek fires up June 20 in Salt Lake City.
Leppard have also been doing a lot of media interviews and sessions, including a live performance on Fox & Friends’ Summer Concert Series Friday morning.
