Van Halen’s “A Different Kind Of Truth,” debuts this week at #1 on Billboard’s Rock Albums chart.
The first Van Halen album with David Lee Roth in 28 years sold 187,000 copies to be the week’s top-selling album across all rock genres, ranked by sales data as compiled by Nielsen SoundScan.
Debuting behind the veteran rockers at #2 was “Scars & Stories” by The Fray.

Van Halen’s debut sales week was also strong enough to secure #2 on Billboard’s 200 albums chart behind Adele’s “21.”
