Guns N’ Roses, Van Halen and Gene Simmons are all up for the hennemusic Rock News Artist Of The Year, while stories on Motley Crue, Gene Simmons and Van Halen are contenders for the hennemusic Rock News Story Of The Year.
Finalists for the hennemusic Rock News Awards are chosen by readers – rock fans around the world – who voted with their most valuable resource: their time.
Winners are determined by the combined total page views of the top 50 hennemusic rock news stories of the past twelve months.

In the tradition of the weekly hennemusic Hot 10 chart – based on page views by fans – hennemusic will count down the top 10 Rock News Stories of The Year, and the top 10 Rock News Artists Of The Year - starting Monday, December 12.
The 2011 hennemusic Rock News Awards winners will be announced on Tuesday, December 20 at hennemusic.com.
In the meantime, music fans can take part in the hennemusic Rock News Awards poll to vote on who they think will win each of the categories.
Polling closes at midnight (eastern) on Sunday, December 18.
