The track is from Weiland’s Christmas release, “The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year,” which features Xmas standards in a variety of styles, including big band swing, orchestrated ballads, reggae, bossa nova and more.
Not only does the visual throw you, as Scott sports a look right out of Leave It To Beaver-era middle America, but there’s something about his voice – it’s almost as if he’s singing the song sarcastically.
This is about as far away from STP as you can get, obviously, but wow…it’s a head-scratcher.
Thankfully, the singer recently told Billboard that he expects an STP album to be on the way in 2012, so we’ll look forward to that, while you check out a Weiland Wonderland…
