The event is Canada’s pro football showdown (think Super Bowl), and it featured the hometown B.C. Lions (West Division champs) taking on the Winnipeg Blue Bombers (East Division champs).
Nickelback jammed three songs in for the halftime show, which included hundreds of dancers and a whole lotta pyro.
The band was back on the friendly confines of home turf, following the headlines they made by doing a similar show on Thanksgiving Thursday in Detroit.
An alleged Detroit Lions fan secured more than 55,000 names on an online petition to ask the team to change their entertainment plans; turns out the band was told he may have been connected to a local artist who wanted to play the show himself.
Nickelback are out promoting their newly-released album, “Here And Now.”
