Durbin was there to check out the show, but was really excited that his debut album, “Memories Of A Beautiful Disaster,” was being released the following day.
“I’m stoked, man, it’s unbelievable,” James tells the LA Times. “Going from that – being on the Idol stage – 30 million people every week, and then going to this: it’s all me. It’s all my decisions, I get to plan everything. I design my own merch…planning the tour right now. It’s so freakin’ awesome!”
“I’m in it for the music,” Durbin continued. “I’m in it because it’s what I love to do. My only dream at the beginning of all this was to be a working musician and I’ve far exceeded that.”
