Ace Frehley is in the New York groove.
The original KISS guitarist’s new book, "No Regrets: A Rock 'N' Roll Memoir," has just debuted at #10 on the New York Times "Hardcover Nonfiction" best sellers list – check it out here.
The book was published November 1, and Ace has been doing book-signing events around the country – and lots of media interviews – to help promote it.
Ace was recently on NBC’s Today Show to talk with host Matt Lauer about the project; part of their conversation centered around Ace’s past drug use, including cocaine, for which he had a code name.
“We called it Betty White,” said Frehley. “If I was going to a party, I’d call up my buddy and say ‘Is Betty going to be there?’ And if he said 'she said yes,' then we’d know it would be there.”
Co-written by New York Times journalist Joe Layden, the book is billed as “a funny, truthful, candid memoir about a hard-drinking, drug-addicted, music-loving guitar player who lived life as a rock star and survived to tell the tale.”
