#14 in the October series asks, “If you could go back to the 1980s when metal and hard rock were at their peak, would you go back and do it all again? Why or why not?”
Leppard were unquestionably at their commercial peak in the 80s, as the band’s third album, “Pyromania,” synced up with the start of the MTV generation, eventually selling 10 million copies and setting the stage for the mega-blockbuster “Hysteria,” which produced 7 chart singles.
Glory days, for sure, but Leppard has persevered with 6 studio albums since, continuing to deliver the goods in person on a well-worn concert trail.
So…would they do it? Turn the clocks back?
