The band played a bill headlined by Metallica, alongside Motorhead, Coheed And Cambria, and Brazilian rockers Gloria.
Slipknot guitarist Jim Root was interviewed after the Rio show, and shared his thoughts on the performance.
“It’s always a treat when we get to come to a place that’s still new to us, and we don’t get to come to very often,” said Root. “Tonight was a very, very magical show and, since we lost [bassist] Paul [Gray], every show we do here on out is in honor of Paul.”
