The September 19 event will air the same day and time as the the first episode of "Two and a Half Men" starring Sheen's replacement, Ashton Kutcher.
Clever.
Sheen was fired from the popular CBS show in March after a feud with creator Chuck Lorre. One of the most peculiar things about the incident is that Lorre blasted Sheen for his lifestyle outside of the program – while Lorre, Sheen, CBS and many, many others profited from writing and promoting said lifestyle on the program.
Hypocrisy, anyone?
The split led to Sheen going on a self-promotion spree/apparent bender, doing media interviews and a live speaking tour to mixed reviews, to put it mildly.
The New York Post reports the roast will be hosted by "Family Guy" creator Seth MacFarlane, and will feature the now familiar lineup of wacky comics set to poke fun at Sheen, including Jeff Ross, Anthony Jeselnik, boxing legend Mike Tyson and "Jackass" star Steve-O, among others.
The Comedy Central ads promoting the show feature the Ozzy Osbourne classic, “Crazy Train,” as the event’s theme.
