After playing a set at the iTunes Festival in London on Saturday – where he was joined by Dead Weather bandmates Jack White and Alison Mosshart, along with former Led Zeppelin bassist John Paul Jones - Steve joined the Foo Fighters for their second show in Milton Keynes on Sunday.
Jones was also along for the Foo jam on “Back In The Doghouse,” from Steve’s new album, “You Can’t Teach An Old Dog New Tricks.”
“I thought, you know what,” said head Foo Dave Grohl, “tonight, because he’s a badass, and because you guys are the coolest crowd we’ve had in a really long f**king time….we should have a jam. Ladies and gentlemen, would you please welcome my dear friend Seasick Steve to the stage.”
“Would you also please welcome,” continued Grohl, “the guy that made me wanna f**king play rock and roll…Mr. John Paul Jones from Led Zeppelin.”
“And if you don’t mind, I’d like to play drums with these guys tonight.”
