VIDEO: Steven Tyler on Dateline NBC with Matt Lauer

If you’re at all wondering why Steven Tyler’s face is everywhere these days, it’s not only because of American Idol: he has a new autobiography to promote.

"Does The Noise In My Head Bother You?" is out today, with the pre-planned, co-ordinated promotional support of covers of both People and Rolling Stone magazine backing it up, as well as other media appearances.

“Does the Noise in My Head Bother You?" is being billed as "the unbridled truth, the in-your-face, up-close and prodigious tale of Steven Tyler straight from the horse's lips ... All the unexpurgated, brain-jangling tales of debauchery, sex & drugs, transcendence & chemical dependence you will ever want to hear."

Tyler spent the last few years working on the book, which he says will be more personal than the material covered in the band 2003 autobiography, “Walk This Way: The Autobiography Of Aerosmith.”

HarperCollins reportedly paid more than $2 million for the rights to publish Tyler's story.

Sunday, Tyler appeared on Dateline NBC in a long-form interview with Matt Lauer, recorded at Tyler’s Los Angeles home.
