The rocker sang one his Idol tunes, the Carole King song, “Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow?” and then joined the hosts for a chat.
Asked what he was doing before the show, James said, "I delivered pizzas. Two days before auditions, I got laid off." He said the pizza place closed, leaving him out of a job. Even after his Idol experience, "Technically, I'm still unemployed," he added.
Durbin will, of course, be a part of the Idol Top 11 summer tour across North America.
