VIDEO: The Cars rock Jimmy Fallon

The Cars are back.

The legendary new wave band returned this month with “Move Like This,” their first new album in 24 years.

“Move Like This” was recorded last year in Los Angeles and upstate New York by the entire surviving band: vocalist/guitarist Ric Ocasek, drummer David Robinson, guitarist Elliot Easton and keyboard player Greg Hawkes (bassist Benjamin Orr died of pancreatic cancer in 2000).

Gareth "Jacknife" Lee
, who has worked with U2 and R.E.M., produced five tracks; the band did the rest.

This month, The Cars are on the road for a 2-week tour to launch the new album; Wednesday night they play New York before wrapping things up in their hometown of Boston with a show on Thursday.

The Cars made their TV debut (since the reunion) Tuesday on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, where they played the single, “Blue Tip.”
