In the latest South Park episode, “Crack Baby Athletic Association,” the show built a mythical vision of Slash as a Santa Claus-like figure who is everywhere, but not real.
Check out the story for yourself to see what Slash thought of the whole thing.

While Zeppelin fans wait patiently for guitarist Jimmy Page to return to the stage – with someone, somewhere – the legend himself surfaced recently at the Ivor Novello Awards and was asked about his plans for the rest of the year. Seems Mr. Page is looking into the online business as he’s working on constructing a new website for himself, even putting the project ahead of creating new music. Page’s update was the second most-read story this week on the HH10.
At #3, you wouldn’t be laughed at if you saw The Cars on TV and did a double-take at the calendar: it is 2011, right? The Boston band is not only back with a new album, “Move Like This,” but they played a 2-week tour this month to promote their first record in 24 years, stopping by Jimmy Fallon’s show to play “Blue Tip.”
The second Slash story of the past week lands at #4, but it’s really more of a Van Halen deal. Through a connection between VH and his band, Slash learned that VH are now in the mixing stages of their new disc - their first with David Lee Roth since 1984 – and shared the news with Tom Russell’s listeners at U.K.’s Rock Radio.
Strangest story of the last seven days comes in #5, and it goes to ex-KISS guitarist Vinnie Vincent, who was arrested and charged with aggravated assault when his wife, Diane, arrived at the local Tennessee Sheriff's Office "covered in blood" and reeking of alcohol. Domestic violence is nasty business on its own, but when police arrived at Vincent’s home, they found Vinnie and "four sealed containers containing deceased dogs."
Other big news on the HH10 includes Scott Weiland performing on TV, Lady Gaga’s life-changing experience at an Iron Maiden show, Disney’s insane theme park show featuring Star Wars characters dancing to Metallica and Guns N’ Roses tunes (whaaa??!!), and two items on James Durbin’s metal takeover of the American Idol finale with legends Judas Priest.
A huge shout out to James for carrying the metal flag on Idol all season despite grief about from the producers and, at times, mentor Jimmy Iovine; Durbin stuck to his guns, kicked ass every week for months, and left all the other contestants in the dust.
